Autologous Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) With Fat
What Is Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)?
Do you dream of having an hourglass figure with small waist and a voluptuous buttock? If yes, Brazilian Buttock Lift may be the right procedure for you.
The Brazilian Butt Lift is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes a combination of body sculpting liposuction and fat injection to contour and define a sexy bottom. The benefits of the procedure are dual. First, body sculpting liposuction improves body contour through the removal of fat from undesirable and stubborn areas of the body such as the abdomen, waist and thighs. Second, your own excess fat is used to increase the roundness and fullness of your buttocks through fat injection without the use of implants or any foreign material.
What to Expect During Your BBL Consultation?
Dr. Bachilo will meet with you and ask you about your desired body form. She will listen to you in order to fully understand what you are trying to accomplish with this procedure. It may be helpful if you can bring a photo of the buttock you find attractive. Dr. Bachilo will evaluate your medical history and examine your body to determine if you are healthy for elective surgery and are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift. It is best if you are at your ideal body weight that you are happy with and are able to maintain long-term. You also need to have sufficient fat to move from other parts of the body to your buttock. Dr. Bachilo will describe the procedure to you and explain the risks associated with your procedure.
When you are ready to schedule your surgery you will be given instructions on how to prepare. You will be advised to stop smoking at least one month prior to your operation. Dr. Bachilo and our entire team at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa Houston office are committed to your safety and success of your procedure. We ask that you help us deliver the beautiful outcome you deserve by cooperating with us and complying with your pre-operative instructions.
How Is Buttlift Procedure Performed?
Brazilian butt lift is performed in an outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia. The procedure requires 3 to 4 hours depending on the volume of fat being transferred. First body sculpting liposuction is performed to contour the body and to harvest the fat for injection. Tiny incisions are strategically placed around the body areas you wish to liposuction.
Dr. Bachilo will discuss with you and plan out which areas of your body will have liposuction performed in order to obtain enough fat. Best donor sites for fat are the flanks, abdomen, hips and thighs. You can also request to have other specific areas addressed at the same time such as arms, legs or chin. Your buttock shape will further be accentuated through the use of body sculpting liposuction.
Fat removed through liposuction is then prepared for injection into the buttock. Fat is carefully injected to contour the buttocks until the desired effect is achieved. Compression garments are needed for body areas receiving liposuction and will be applied at the end of the procedure. Pressure should be avoided to the buttock to preserve the new shape and avoid damage to fat cells.
What to Expect During BBL Recovery?
Swelling and bruising are expected after surgery and resolve over several weeks. Any discomfort after your procedure is well controlled with oral pain medications prescribed by your surgeon. You will be provided instructions on how to care for yourself after your operation. You will be asked to wear compression garments for areas that had liposuction performed.
Please avoid sitting or laying on your buttocks for an extended period of time to prevent damage to the newly transplanted fat cells and to avoid alterations in your buttock shape. You should be able to resume putting pressure on your buttock in about two weeks after the surgery at which time most of the discomfort will also subside. You should be able to return to work within a week or two with minimal limitations. Six weeks after the procedure you may resume all of your normal activities.
What Results Can I Expect After Brazilian Butt Lift?
Immediately after the procedure, you will notice a change in your body shape, however, the final result will become apparent when all of the swelling resolves and the injected fat stabilizes around 3 months after the procedure. Your body will reabsorb some of the fat that is injected, and it’s expected for final shape to be somewhat smaller than what is seen immediately after surgery. Your results should be long-lasting as long as you maintain your weight. Your new buttock is made of your own fat cells and will respond with you as you lose and gain weight.

No. The incisions used in a fat transfer procedure are minuscule and camouflaged in the natural creases and folds of the body. These scars fade away over time if properly cared for after surgery, and eventually become nearly invisible to the naked eye.
