Radiesse Injections in Houston, TX
HOW IT WORKS
WHAT TO EXPECT
How Radiesse Works
Radiesse is formulated from calcium hydroxylapatite, a natural ingredient found in healthy skin, and nourishes skin cells deep beneath the surface, strengthening and firming the skin, and increasing suppleness, volume, and elasticity. Because Radiesse works by triggering natural collagen production, your skin will continue to improve over time, resulting in firmer, smoother skin that continues to repair itself for several months.
Healthier, Younger-Looking Skin for up to Two Years!
Radiesse results typically last longer than other dermal injections, and may last up to two years in most patients. Because the treatment is natural, there is little risk of any adverse reaction. The treatment is simple and quick, with no downtime or recovery period. While you will notice immediate improvements, the true beauty of Radiesse will be fully visible after about three months, when increased collagen production has produced gradual improvements.
Radiesse may be ideal for you if you’re between 35 and 60 and want to erase lines, wrinkles, creases and folds in your face, while increasing facial volume and elasticity. Radiesse also corrects facial lipoatrophy, a condition that produces loss of volume and facial contouring.
How can I prepare for Radiesse?
Before your Radiesse injectable treatment, you may need to stop taking certain medications, such as anti-inflammatory drugs (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, etc.) and supplements (fish oil) to reduce the risk of excess bleeding after your injections. You should arrive to your appointment with a bare face – no makeup or skincare products – so that we can take before photos prior to your treatment. If you develop a skin infection or have actively inflamed skin, reach out to your provider since treatment may have to be delayed.
How long does Radiesse take to settle?
After your treatment, your face will be slightly swollen and/or bruised. It usually takes 1-2 weeks for this swelling to subside, during which time the Radiesse injectable will settle into the wrinkles or folds of the treated area. Radiesse also stimulates collagen production which takes some time but after 2-3 weeks, the injectable should have settled.
How long does it take to see Radiesse results?
Some immediate changes can be noticed, but your actual results will take at least a week to see. Since Radiesse works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production, results gradually develop during the few months that follow your treatment. However, the wait is worth it since these results can last over 18 months.
Does Radiesse improve over time?
As your skin continues to build collagen post-injection, you may continue to see improvements several months after your treatment. You will notice lifted, plumper skin with more volume in the treated areas. After a few months post-treatment, the improvements will stop but you can still enjoy the final results for more than a year.
What are the best treatment areas for Radiesse?
Radiesse restores volume to hollowed cheeks and folds or wrinkles around the mouth and nose, such as smile lines and marionette lines. By restoring volume to the cheeks and/or injecting Radiesse along the jawline, you can treat sagging skin and improve the contour of your jawline. Radiesse is not just for the face, there are some off-label uses such as volume loss in the hands to reduce the appearance of veins and tendons that may give them an older appearance. It can also be injected in the décolleté and neck, knees, cellulite dimples, and buttocks for volume.
