Surgery Patient Information
What to Expect During
Surgical Consultation
Initial consultation

If you are considering cosmetic surgery, the first step is to schedule your complimentary consultation at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa and meet with Dr. Bachilo to discuss your goals.

During your consultation, Dr. Bachilo will listen to what you would like to improve about your body, breasts, or face and make recommendations about which procedures will help best achieve those results. She will explain these procedures in-depth and explain any risks associated with these interventions.

Dr. Bachilo will evaluate your medical and surgical history and ask about all medications you are taking to determine if you are healthy for an elective cosmetic procedure.  Feel free to ask as many questions and voice any concerns, as this is the time to make sure that you have all the necessary information and the confidence to move forward with your surgery. Our patient coordinator will provide you with quotes and information about financing options and be able to answer any questions related to the cost of your procedure.

Prior to Scheduling Your Procedure
Ask Yourself the Following
are you ready for your procedure?
  • Do I know the potential risks and benefits of this procedure?
  • Do I have realistic expectations?
  • Am I physically healthy for elective surgery?
  • How long is my recovery period going to be?
  • How am I going to finance this procedure?
  • What do I need to do to get ready for my surgery?

planning ahead

Before your surgery, you will meet with Dr. Bachilo again for your pre-operative visit, and she will go over all the details of your procedure. You will have the opportunity to ask all the questions you may have.

You will receive special instructions on how to get ready for your procedure. You may be asked to see your primary care doctor or cardiologist for pre-operative clearance and have some laboratory studies done. For breast surgery, you may be asked to have a mammogram.

Dr. Bachilo and our entire team at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa are committed to your safety and your procedure’s success. We ask that you help us deliver the beautiful outcome you deserve by cooperating with us and complying with your pre-operative instructions.

You will be asked to stop smoking and stop using any nicotine products such as e-cigs, gum, and patches for one month before your elective surgery. Also, you will be asked to stop any Aspirin or non-inflammatory over-the-counter medications for two weeks before surgery.

Please make sure to consult with your cardiologist before stopping Aspirin if you have heart disease or cardiac stents.

After your procedure, if you need any additional garments or supplies, you can purchase them through ContourMD.
