Botox: Time-tested, Affordable, and Effective

For decades, men and women have been using Botox to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in troublesome areas of the face to achieve smoother, firmer, more radiant skin. Botox treats dynamic wrinkles caused by the natural aging process and those caused by repeating creases that your facial muscles create when you make certain facial expressions. Botox temporarily relaxes those facial muscles, softening the wrinkles that they cause. And the best part is that with repeated use over time, Botox will gradually eradicate those wrinkles.

The most common Botox treatment areas include frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. After that, results typically last around 4 to 6 months before you’ll need another round of injections.

Traditional Dermal Fillers

For those who’ve had great luck with traditional fillers, you can also continue to use formulas such as Restylane, Juvederm, and others to increase facial volume in different areas such as the cheeks, lips, and lower face. These can help to smooth wrinkles, creases, and fine lines in other areas of the face.  You can even get dermal injections to banish your double chin!

Bear in mind that when using HA-based formulations, such as Juvederm and Restylane, full results develop gradually over time thanks to the triggering of collagen production in the skin and the effects of the HA, which increases hydration and volume, sometimes taking as long as 2-3 months to reveal themselves fully. The beauty of this is that the changes occur subtly and gradually, so nobody can figure out your little secret.

Dermal fillers produce longer-lasting results than Botox injections, with some formulas lasting as long as one to two years.
