What is Emsculpt NEO?

Emsculpt NEO® is an advanced new body contouring treatment that builds muscle while reducing fat. Emsculpt NEO stimulates highly intense muscular contractions to build and tighten muscle tissue, enhance muscle tone, and increase strength with no surgery or downtime.

Emsculpt NEO is an improvement upon its predecessor, the original Emsculpt. Like Emsculpt, Emsculpt NEO also uses High-Intensity Focused Electro-Magnetic (HIFEM) energy, but Emsculpt NEO incorporates Radio Frequency (RF) energy as well, making it the first and only body contouring device that combines HIFEM and RF technology into a single treatment. The addition of RF energy to each treatment enhances the treatment’s fat-burning results, decreasing fat by as much as 30% and increasing muscle mass by as much as 25% in the treatment area.

How does Emsculpt NEO work?

Emsculpt NEO works by means of HIFEM® technology that induces deep muscle contractions called “supramaximal” contractions, which produce advanced muscle development. By enhancing the treatment with RF energy a synergistic effect is produced,  as the RF energy heats the underlying muscle tissue prior to induction of the contractions. This warming of the treatment area effectively eliminates fat cells while the supramaximal contractions build muscle mass. These fat cells are permanently eliminated as part of the treatment.

Supramaximal contractions are far more intense and powerful than those that a person can achieve on their own through normal exercise. Each Emsculpt NEO treatment produces over 20,000 supramaximal contractions, which is far more than anyone could ever achieve by simply working out. How should I prepare for an Emsculpt NEO Treatment?

Dr. Bachilo will inform you of what to expect during your free introductory consultation. No special preparation is necessary, but we recommend that you wear loose, comfortable clothing and remove any body piercings prior to treatment.

Do Emsculpt NEO Treatments hurt?

An Emsculpt NEO treatment feels like an extremely intense workout. During the procedure, you will feel your muscles contracting and the level of intensity gradually increasing. Following treatment, you may feel much as you would after a workout at the gym.

While you may lie down, relax, watch TV, read, or talk during your treatment, we don’t recommend the use of portable electronic devices, because delicate electronic devices may be damaged by the intense energy that the Emsculpt NEO applicator emits.

How long does the Emsculpt NEO treatment take?

A typical Emsculpt NEO treatment will usually take under 30 minutes, so you can easily get the procedure on your lunch break and return to work immediately afterward.

How soon will I see Emsculpt NEO results?

Results are noticeable immediately after the treatment, much like what you notice after an intensive workout. Muscle toning will typically continue to improve for two to four weeks after your last treatment, while fat reduction may continue for as long as 8-12 weeks after treatment, as the underlying muscles adapt and strengthen and your body gradually eliminates the destroyed fat cells. You will continue to see improvements in muscle tone and body contour for several weeks after completing your series of treatments.

How Many Emsculpt NEO Treatments Will I Need?

While many of our patients are satisfied with their results after just one series of Emsculpt NEO treatments, others may require more than one series of treatments to achieve their aesthetic goals. Is there any Downtime after an Emsculpt NEO Treatment?

No. Emsculpt NEO is non-invasive and requires no downtime after treatment.

Who is a good candidate for Emsculpt NEO?

While Emsculpt NEO is FDA-approved for most healthy adults, the procedure may not be suitable for everyone. While you may undergo Emsculpt treatment before or after your pregnancy, we don’t recommend Emsculpt NEO treatments during pregnancy. Also, because of the electromagnetic energy that the treatment emits, Emsculpt NEO may not be recommended if you have any of the following conditions:

• A history of heart disease or seizures.
• Metal implants, such as a pacemaker or cardiac defibrillator located within close range of the treatment site.
• A hernia or recent surgery in the vicinity of the treatment site.
