How it Works
The Plasma IQ Pen is an FDA-approved handheld plasma device that delivers focused plasma energy to renew and restore the skin. WHAT TO EXPECT
What to Expect from Plasma IQ Pen
The Plasma IQ Pen treatment is done in-office and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. It can be broken down into three stages, which include the following.
Stage 1: The nitrogen plasma energy is emitted from the handpiece into the skin’s epidermal layers. It heats the deeper layers of the skin to cause micro-trauma to the tissue.
Stage 2: The micro-trauma to the tissue stimulates the body’s natural healing process, triggering collagen and elastin growth over the next 12 weeks.
Stage 3: Collagen and elastin are created, resulting in improved skin structure, smoothing lines and wrinkles. Patients can enjoy an overall more youthful appearance.
We advise that you avoid excessive exercise and movement, direct sunlight, and UV light exposure for two weeks. Small scabs will form in the treated area and fall off after about ten days, revealing renewed skin. There will be some social downtime following your Plasma IQ Pen treatment, therefore do not plan on attending events that would involve photo taking. You may, however, return to your daily activities as soon as you wish. Results will continue to improve over the next 6-12 weeks. It is recommended that patients receive 1-3 treatments sessions each spaced six weeks apart to achieve optimal outcomes. Results can last up to two years before maintenance treatment is needed.
