What Is Y Lift?
The Y Lift® is a non-surgical facelift that restores the youthful shape and structure of the face and is performed using only dermal fillers.
The Y Lift procedure’s goal is to restore the youthful shape of the face instantly and without the need for general anesthesia, incisions, scarring, or downtime.
For residents of Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, and nearby communities in Texas, the Y Lift – also known as the Closed Facelift™ – is performed with excellence by the skillful hand of Dr. Olga Bachilo, head of Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in Houston, and one of the area’s most respected cosmetic surgeons.
Who Is a Good Candidate for the Y Lift or Closed Facelift?
The Y Lift® may be safely performed on any healthy adult with no history of negative response or allergic reaction to dermal injections. The Y Lift facelift is suitable and effective for male and female patients who want to tone and rejuvenate their facial appearance.
How Does the Y Lift Work?
Over time, due to the aging process, the hard tissue within the facial structure, such as the cheekbones and jawbones, begins to shrink, causing the soft tissue such as fat and skin to sag. This process gradually alters the shape of the face and produces a more lax and aged facial appearance.
The Y Lift® procedure instantly rejuvenates the facial structure through Structural Volumizing™ or restoring lost volume and definition to the maxilla and mandible (upper and lower jaw) to restore the original shape of the face.
How Is Y Lift Performed?
Described by Dr. Mehmet Oz on the Doctor Oz show as the “30-Minute Miracle Facelift,” the Y Lift® procedure is a safe and quick procedure that takes between 15 to 30 minutes to complete and requires no downtime or recovery period. The procedure is typically performed using local anesthesia.
A patented device known as the flexY guide®, designed to be anatomically accurate and created specifically for the Y Lift® procedure, is used to precisely locate the leading edges of these crucial bones to enhance their structure by replacing them with the lost volume of youth.
The Y Lift is referred to as the Closed Facelift because the filler is delivered to the leading edges of the maxilla and mandible within an enclosed space. To achieve this, a titanium instrument is used to gently lift the muscle tissue from the bone so that the filler may be injected in the enclosed pocket of space underneath it to support the muscle in its new, higher location.
What Results Can I Expect from a Y Lift Procedure?
Most patients notice immediate improvements right after treatment, with continued improvement as the injections stimulate collagen production and rehydration of skin cells thanks to Hyaluronic acid in the dermal fillers. A Y Lift procedure results look totally natural and may last as long as 2 or 3 years.
