What Is Belotero Balance and How Does It Work?
Belotero Balance is an injectable dermal filler that treats moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles on the face. The smooth gel formula is injected into the facial skin using a fine-gauge needle and is generally performed as an outpatient treatment by a qualified health care provider. You may either sit or recline during the treatment. There is no required downtime, and only minimal aftercare is required following treatment.
Belotero Balance contains hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural component of healthy skin that naturally binds with water, enhancing hydration and moisture-retention in skin cells, and making it an ideal treatment for filling in wrinkles, lines, and folds in the skin. The HA in Belotero Balance is specially formulated using a unique proprietary process to produce a smooth and cohesive gel that quickly and evenly integrates into the skin’s natural structure, gently filling in and smoothing out etched-in lines and wrinkles and producing smoother, more radiant skin.
While Belotero Balance is a versatile product that may be used to treat nasolabial folds, sometimes referred to as “smile lines” or “parentheses” that surround the mouth, it is also an ideal option for smoothing out more delicate areas, such as that tiny etched-in “smoker’s lines” and vertical lip lines that appear above and around the natural contour of the lips. Belotero effectively rejuvenates the mid-face region, enhancing volume and smoothing the area surrounding the nose and mouth.

Belotero Results
Belotero Balance works immediately upon injection to visibly smooth etched-in lines and wrinkles, particularly the vertical lip lines above and around the lips and mouth. Additionally, the HA in Belotero will help moisture bind to thirsty skin cells, which means that results will continue to improve, producing increasingly smoother skin several weeks after treatment. While individual results may vary, a typical Belotero treatment will produce results that start to be visible immediately and may last as long as 6 months or more. Several factors may affect how long the results last, such as the amount of product used, the patient’s age, skin condition, and the area that is being treated. The results may last a bit longer in facial areas that are not affected by a lot of constant activity such as eating, talking, and/or smiling. In some cases, results may not last as long in these more active areas of the face due to constant, repetitive facial activity.
