At Last! Advanced Solutions
The “nose job” also known as rhinoplasty is one of the most frequently performed plastic surgery procedures in the entire world. For anyone who wants to correct the size or shape of a nose that is too large, too long, too wide, too pointy, or too crooked; a nose with a nasal hump or one with large or flaring nostrils; a drooping nose or an upturned nose; or a nose with a bulbous tip: there are various surgical and non-surgical procedures that can achieve these improvements.
In some cases, surgery on the nose is not performed solely for cosmetic reasons but to improve a respiratory condition. In these cases, some health insurance carriers may cover a portion or all of the expenses for the procedure when patients exhibit nasal deformity due to hereditary conditions or trauma, or conditions such as a deviated septum, which produce difficulty breathing.
Rhinoplasty surgery is customized to each patient and can be performed to modify or correct any of the above-named conditions, or any combination of those conditions. This procedure may be performed on adults and even on older teens, once the facial features have fully developed. Rhinoplasty may also be combined with other procedures such as cheek implants or a brow lift.
Septoplasty is a specialized nose surgery to specifically correct a deviated septum, which refers to a condition affecting the bone and cartilage between the two nostrils that often causes breathing difficulties. The septoplasty procedure, straightens the nasal septum and repositions it in the center of the nose. In many instances, this procedure may be covered by health insurance.
To fill out a nose that is underdeveloped, non-surgical solutions in the form of dermal fillers such as Juvederm and Sculptra may be sufficient to do the trick. These fillers may be used to widen a nasal bridge that looks too narrow, or nostrils that appear underdeveloped. A combination of fillers applied to the nose as well as to the cheeks may also produce a more harmonious and proportional facial contour.
