Pectoral Implants in Houston, TX
Redefine your chest with Pectoral Implants!
Working out does not always provide the maximum degree of contouring and definition of the pectoral muscles that make the chest and upper body look fully developed and toned. In some men, the pectoral muscles are simply underdeveloped, small, and undefined, and no amount of working out can fix that. For these patients, pectoral implants provide the cosmetic solution to getting the body of your dreams. At Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, located in the greater Houston area and led by renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Olga Bachilo, pectoral implants are available for Houston-area residents who want to achieve a sculpted and toned upper-body with tight, pectoral definition.
What is Pectoral Augmentation and How is It Performed?
Pectoral augmentation is a surgical cosmetic procedure that enhances the size and tone of the pectoral muscles, giving your chest the contour and definition that you desire by means of silicone chest implants that look and feel like natural muscles. Pectoral implants are inserted via tiny hairline incisions located around your nipple or in your armpit. These tiny incisions allow the surgeon to create a pocket or sheath for the implant in between the fascia and muscle tissue. The implants are secured in that pocket, underneath the skin and connective tissue of your chest, and on top of your natural chest muscles, using self-dissolving stitches. Each implant provides increased size, tone, and definition in your pectoral muscles.
What Type of Implants Are used to Augment the Pectoral Muscles?
Dr. Bachilo uses silicone implants that feel like naturally firm muscle tissue. These implants are hard enough to maintain their natural shape, yet soft and pliable enough to look and feel like natural muscle. Dr. Bachilo carefully selects each silicone implant to create the size and contour you desire in your chest.
How Long Is the Recovery Period After Pectoral Implants?
Most muscle augmentation surgeries such as the insertion of pectoral implants take about an hour or two to perform, but you will need someone to drive you home after the procedure because you may still be under the effect of the general anesthesia. You may need some help around the house in the first few days following the surgery, so that you don’t impact the healing process by stretching beyond your recommended limit which could cause the implant to shift or dislodge from its position. You may be instructed to wear a compression garment to optimize healing and help your body adjust to its new contour. Most patients are able to resume light exercise after two to seven days, and you may return to your normal physical activities in about four to six weeks.
If you want to see an improvement in the size and tone of your pectoral muscles, and an enhancement in the contour of your chest that looks and feels totally natural, consider a Pectoral Implant or Muscular Augmentation procedure at Glamour Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, serving the areas of Houston, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Woodlands and neighboring communities in Texas.
